Who are your ideal wedding clients?

We love working with fun-loving, easy-going couples that like natural style photography and video (meaning they don’t stage pictures much). Our clients typically love the outdoors, wineries and breweries, live music, great food, and generally have a carefree happy-go-lucky look at life.

Currently, we only take 10 couples annually, so we recommend booking with us early.

How does your flexible deposits and monthly payments work?

We allow our couples the ability to choose a range from 10% to 50% for a deposit. The remaining balance can be paid in full just before the wedding or you can choose monthly payments.

We allow you to choose between 1-24 months to pay for our services. There is 0% interest as long as you are making consistent monthly payments.

How long have you been in business?

The founder, Joshua, started working in radio, television and Hollywood since 1993 and entered the wedding industry in 1999, working under Cendrick Enterprises in Salem, VA. We ventured out on our own in 2011 under the Weddings in Roanoke and Roanoke Video brands until 2016 when we sold the company to a competitor.

In 2018, Joshua returned to the industry on a part-time basis, changed the brand to include wedding photography, nationally known as Wedding Photography and Films.

In 2022 Emma and Billy bought the brand from the founder, Joshua, and are continuing the brand today.

Emma does all the wedding photography and Billy does video when the couple opts for it.

Are you a chain?

No, in fact, it’s just Emma and Billy at the helm, we’re a small business and proud of it! :)

What is your 'style' of photos and videos?

With wedding photography, Emma offers a mix of natural light and photojournalistic styles with her imagery. With her, you can choose from the ‘light and airy’ or ‘dark and moody’, but you’ll find that her images are ‘in-the-moment’ mostly.

For video, Billy offers a journalistic style with his feature films and everything is in natural light, with little color grading.

How many photos do we receive and are they edited?

While we feature unlimited images, on average, couples can expect a range from 300-600+/- based on a full wedding day. We oftentimes take thousands of images on a typically 8-10 hour day, although some are duplicates, some that are not great, we will weed through them for you.

We review and hand edit each image in your gallery to get the ideal look. All of them will be processed to .jpg so you can view, print, and share.

What is your copyright release?

Actually, we give you what’s called a Print Release. It allows you to print and share your images with friends, family and loved ones and put on social media too.

Where do you travel for weddings?

We mainly travel through Virginia, Washington, DC, North Carolina, South Carolina, West Virginia, Tennessee and Kentucky. We also travel to other states, but our primary focus is the mid-Atlantic region.

 

How much is your travel fee?

Our travel fee is applicable to locations that are more than a 1 hour drive each way from our business address: 3117 Yardley Dr. NW, Roanoke VA 24012. This means that if our total drive time is less than 2 hours to get to your venue and back afterwards, your travel fee is $0. If the total drive time exceeds 2 hours, the fee is $1 per minute based on the fastest route on google maps.

Will you or someone else be covering our day?

It will be Emma, Billy, or both.

COVID Question, what's your policy on rescheduling or cancelling?

We do not have a rescheduling fee if you need to change your date once, rescheduling a second time is $150. If your rescheduled date is not available, this will be treated as a client cancellation.

If you cancel due to COVID-19 restrictions within your region because of limits on weddings or guest size for example, we will offer you a refund. If you cancel otherwise, you will not receive any refund.

If we cancel for any reason, you will receive 100% refund.

What is your 10-year warranty?

We retain all the master copies of your original work that you receive from us in a fire-resistant safe.

During your 10-year warranty, we will gladly replace your media should it fail, get destroyed, lost or stolen. The media may be different (think DVD to USB now), however, you will get another copy of your wedding images and videos at no charge to you one time.

How does the 30-day satisfaction guarantee work?

You have 30 days after you receive your wedding media to ask for any minor changes to it. We allow 1 change per wedding video and 1 re-edit on our wedding images.

Are your Coach and Fossil Gifts Real?

Yes, they are! We purchase our Coach wristlet’s 2-3 times a year in bulk. They are typically jacquard or leather style and we try to purchase the same color/style.

Our Fossil wallets are made of leather and come factory direct.

Welcome gifts are complimentary with our Complete Collection and they have an approximate combined value of $130-149 USD.

Do you have a drone?

Yes, we have a drone to provide aerial videos that go into the feature film. Drone use is subject to FAA guidelines and weather conditions.

What Type of Cameras do you use?

We are both a Sony and Panasonic team. For wedding photography, we use 2 Sony A7III full frame mirror less cameras with a Panasonic S1 as a backup. For video, we use 2 Panasonic S1’s with a third Panasonic G85 as a ‘C’ cam and a DJI Osmo Action 3 as a ‘D’ cam. Our drone is a DJI Mini SE.

How long does your work usually take to get back to us?

Our contract states 4-6 weeks, however many times we can get it to you sooner depending on the backlog and workload.

How many clients do you work with annually?

We take on 10 clients each year and a few last minute clients in addition to that based on availability. Once we reach the limit, we stop booking and pass it along to other competitors. Contact us for that information and we’ll see if we can accommodate you.

How quickly do you book up?

We usually become fully booked a year or more in advance. Book early as you can as we typically stay ahead of our competitors with booking clients.

Why are you so affordable? Is there a catch?

Nope, no catch.

This isn’t our full time job and we pick and choose when we want to work, we don’t need to charge more for our services.

We try to make fair market valued packages and provide a LOT of value-added services with each of them. And no, there is no catch, we just want to provide good work at a fair cost to all.

Additionally, Roanoke is a more affordable market, so even with a small travel fee, couples can still come out ahead in the budget outside of our market area.

We usually do about 75% of our work in other regions outside SWVA.

Typical photography costs in NOVA average $4000-7000 so we travel up there a lot.
